Renee and Paul’s excitement was contagious from the moment their wedding reception began. They mingled with guests during the cocktail hour on the deck overlooking the Hudson River as Jeff played acoustic guitar. Honestly, if the guests hadn’t been invited inside, it was so beautiful I think they would have stayed out all night!
FLOWERS: Renee and Paul’s flowers were absolutely stunning. Renee had a bouquet of white calla lilies, while the girls carried pale green orchids flecked with crimson to complement their burgundy dresses. The Dutchess Manor’s famous roses are always beautiful, but these centerpieces were extraordinary, bicolor pink roses with a blush of dark red at the tip, along with cream roses that accented the reds and browns of the room and the wedding party colors.
CUTE FAVOR IDEA: In addition to the classic jordin almonds, the newlyweds gave their guests foam beer insulators that read, “Renee & Paul, To Have and To Hold…and To Keep Your Beer Cold.” So cute! You better believe the guests were taking advantage of them all night.
One of the highlights of the night was Renee and Paul’s photo montage set to the soundtrack of “Because You Loved Me” and “What a Wonderful World.” It featured pictures of the two of them growing up through the years (the shots of little Paul in his Superman pajamas got hoots and hollars!) and then together after meeting at Manhattanville College. Paul’s brother and Best Man joked about how Paul introduced him to Renee by pulling up a track and field website photo of Renee and asking, “Isn’t she good looking? I mean, isn’t she really good looking?”
Their love was undeniable…and so was the party on the dance floor! With the groomsmen busting out their best moonwalk in honor of Michael Jackson and Renee shaking it to her favorite Britney Spears. Totally fun and totally Renee and Paul. Amazing!
