The Garrison is gorgeous anytime of year, and this day was just lovely.
The guests were greeted by Jeff’s acoustic guitar on the patio overlooking the gardens and river view.
COOL PLACE CARD IDEA: Place cards were tied to branches twined around the pillars on the patio so that the tags twisted in the wind, a lovely display.
Rachel and Josh choose brown and forest green linens for the tables, matching the brown ribbon on the menus Rachel (a graphic designer of RachelDesigns) had made herself.Â Pink, peach and yellow roses were encircled by candles and green ivy at each table. Tammy Baldwin of Charmed Places coordinated the event, still basking in the glow of her own wedding a few months earlier.
We met one of our couples who married five years ago, Melissa and Ken. Their wedding seemed like yesterday…until they showed us pictures of their two boys, aged 4 years and 6 months!
The Best Man and Maid of Honor told the story of how Rachel and Josh had met over the internet. Rachel lived on Long Island and Josh was in Oregon. Rachel knew she was in love, even before they met, just based on their phone conversations.
Ah, romance in cyberspace strikes again!
