contemporary music into a unprecedented celebration.

Lily wanted to set a tone of classic music at the wedding: Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Michael Buble, Norah Jones.  It worked fabulously!  The couple was introduced to “How Sweet It Is” performed by Michael Buble, then shared a first dance to Harry Connick Jr’s “It Had To Be You” from the movie When Harry Met Sally (which Lily adores.)

The music selection shifted as the night progressed and the energy rose into songs by Lady Gaga and Jay-Z.  And as a tribute to Dimitar’s Bulgarian heritage, his family led us in a folk dance.  Guests joined arms on the dance floor and kicked, slowly weaving in and out across the dance floor and around the room.

THE DETAILS:  Elegant floral arrangements of white hydrangeas, lilies and pale blush roses on the tables.  The wedding favors where tiny Bulgarian dolls and the vibrant Maid of Honor wore a brilliant colbalt blue dress.  The wedding cake had lavender ribbon between the tiers and was decorated with intricate sugar calla lilies.

It was such a pleasure to learn about new music and celebrate with Lily and Dimitar’s energetic guests.  (And work with our friends at the Garrison and Michael Polito, their photographer!)

Lily and Dimitar, you pulled this wedding together with elegance and grace.  Thanks so much for having us!
