Jeff performed Beatles selections for the ceremony on the lawn: “Here, There and Everywhere,” “In My Life” and “Here Comes the Sun.” It was my pleasure to help get the parents and bridal party lined up for departure; witnesses all the nervous excitement before the ceremony is a real treat. Deanna smiled so sweetly, looking just amazing on her father’s arm.
Deanna and Sean were introduced to “Shakedown Street” by the Grateful Dead, a must for the groom and his guys who are huge Dead heads. The sign behind the head table with the newlyweds’ names written in a tie dyed font added a cool, hippie flair.
THE DETAILS: Blue sashes added a bold splash of color to tables decorated with peach rose petals. Guests were given favors of blue and orange lollypops. The bridesmaids wore cornflower or bright blue dresses.
The night included energetic dancing, 80’s hits like “I Wear My Sunglasses at Night” and “Sweet Dreams,” and even “Paradise by the Dashboard Light.” (FYI – we only bust that one out for the serious parties!)
It was laid back, fun and super cool. I hope the newlyweds survived the after party in one piece! Thanks so much for inviting us, guys.
