Opus 40 was the result of the life work of a man who spent over 30 years building an elaborate series of stone walls, paths and stone installations over the property. The result is unbelievable!
We watched Megan and Brian posing beside the stone encircled pond and between the trees, and I just know they’re going to have gorgeous photos.
Megan and Brian were introduced to “Don’t Stop Till You Get Enough” by Michael Jackson, which we interrupted with a “Rick Roll” just as they hit the dance floor. Then they shared the sweetest of romantic first dances to “Grow Old With You” by Adam Sandler.
The bridesmaids wore lavender dresses and carried bouquets of white roses and dark and light purple and blue flowers. The guys wore tuxes with pale green vests. Purple linens drew the colors together. Guests enjoyed homemade Madman Meadery mead made by Megan’s brother in law.
When we heard the couple was getting a cake from Corsino Cakes, we couldn’t wait to see it. Derek didn’t disappoint!
The cake was a tree stump with mushrooms and flowers at the base, topped with two realistic squirrels, all of which was completely edible. (A fact Megan proved when she bit off the squirrel’s paw and tail during the cake feeding.)
Megan and Brian chose a one of a kind Hudson Valley wedding location to celebrate their marriage on the seventh anniversary of their relationship. They brought a spirit of fun and originality that made it a day their guests will remember forever.
Thanks for letting us be a part of it!
