The ceremony was held on the hill overlooking the Hudson River. Six of their friends from J&J Music Factory sang “Halo” for Lyndsey’s walk down the aisle to Matt.
Lyndsey was not only beaming, she was absolutely beautiful in her custom made dress. Her blonde hair was twisted into a most gorgeous knot.
It wasn’t just the bride who showed off the fancy footwear; both Lyndsey and Matt wore fabulous shoes! Matt wore the funky green shoes Lyndsey had given him that day (“What better day to wear rock and roll shoes like these than my wedding?” Matt said) and Lyndsey had sexy hot pink heels.
The bridesmaids wore dresses of either pink or midnight navy blue with sashes in the complementary color as accents, all in different styles and cuts to show off their personalities. The girls’ lovely bouquets were hot and pale pink, white and green peonies. The groomsmen wore pink and blue ties to match.
Table numbers were printed on a blue and white background, potted white flowers were set in the center of each table and guests received favors in boxes wrapped in pink and blue ribbon. The cake was a stand out piece, each tier layered in ornate pink or blue.
The multiple speeches were so moving and entertaining that I was too wrapped up in listening to take notes…but I did catch the Maid of Honor’s quote from When Harry Met Sally:
“When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible.”
Loved it! The couple’s taste spanned everything from Led Zeppelin and Sufjan Stevens to Phoenix and Tupac. We couldn’t keep these guests off the dance floor! A spontaneous conga line to “I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)” by the Proclaimers and a circle dance to “American Pie” were delightful surprises for us.
Lyndsey and Matt took obvious care with the details of the wedding, reflecting the depths of their love and commitment to their friends, family and each other. They brought the love and fun and they their guests returned it ten fold.
You guys rock! We’re so glad we could be a part of your day.
